Book excerpt: Twenty years after publishing the book Reinventing Confucianism – The New Confucian Movement, – and exactly one hundred years after the publication of Eastern and Western Cultures and Their Philosophies by Liang Shuming (1893-1988), widely considered as the first spark, if not the actual start, of the New Confucian Movement - I take up once again the topic of the New Confucian Movement. On my side, at the time, twenty years ago, it was an attempt to describe a philosophical movement that greatly impressed me.
