Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This thesis presents the modeling, simulation, and hardware realization of the renal system. And since it is still not fully understood, many comprehensive studies and analysis were carried out to present a complete mathematical model for the mechanism. Not only the function of the kidney was studied, but also some subsystems which affect the functions of the kidney such as cardiovascular system were also taken into consideration. The modified mathematical model was coded using HDL Language, and the results matched with the typical calculated values. The mechanism was then realized on Xilinx FPGA's using HDL. The chip was tested to validate the effectiveness of the model. The chip mimicked the mechanism and the desired was successfully accomplished.
