Book excerpt: The Fort Hope-Winisk area study was initiated in 1993 to document all known mineral occurrences and prospects within the northern portion of the Beardmore-Geraldton Resident Geologist District in Ontario. This report reviews the geology and structure of the study area, outlines the types of gold and base metal deposits found, and presents detailed information on 42 mineral occurrences (prospects and deposits) in the study area. Information provided for each occurrence includes property name, mineral commodities found, deposit type, development history and ownership, location and access, bibliographic and map references, descriptions of general geology and structure, mineralization, tonnage and grade estimates if any, and chemical analyses if any.
