Gene vieve County, Missouri, April 26, 1844, and was educated at St. Louis University and the University of Virginia. He then studied law and devoted himself to the profession. In 1882 he was elected to the Forty - eighth Con gress as a Democrat, and re-elected to the Forty - ninth and Fiftieth, serving three full terms as the representative of the Tenth Mis souri District. He subsequently removed to St. Louis and became attorney for the Mis souri Pacific Railroad Company. Clark. An incorporated town in Ra'n dolph County, eleven miles southeast of Moberly. It is located at the junction of the Wabash and the Chicago Alton Railroads. It has a substantial bank, a saw and grist mill, hotel, churches, excellent public school, a commodious Operahouse, and about fifteen stores and shops.
