She was the great-granddaughter of Thomas Corker, Jr. and Seniora Doll, Duchess of Sherbro. She was educated in England. She moved to South Carolina in 1764. She married William Hardcastle in 1771. She died 30 December 1808. Includes Dibble, Cleland, Kinloch and related families. Includes a history of trials concerning her estate which she left to her niece, Catherine Clevland, which the court would not allow her to inherit because of her color.
