The main character and his potential companions are one of the abducted people to whom the illithids had their larvae implanted in their heads. The heroes will have to find a way to get rid of them before the cerebromorphization is completed. The third part of the series is based on the fifth edition of the D&D rules, so many of the things that fans of the original dilogy are familiar with have changed. For example, the combat system in BG3 is turn-based, not RTWP, there can be no more than four companions in a group at a time, and so on. In battles, players can not only attack opponents, but also interact with the environment - throwing enemies into the abyss, blowing them up with the help of "red barrels" and much more.
